Shadow & darkness in Singalila National Forest

B

eing a Nyctophile, I always love to play with darkness and shadow. Be it room environment or a horror movie scene, or a piece of plot in nature in Singalila National Forest. I remember it was a cold December night. Me along with my team was wandering around the zigzag & uphill ways of Singalila National park. The trail seemed to be never ending. We were tired enough for the day, because of cold, because of lack of experience and most importantly we were without guide inside that national forest, where wild animals attack chances were reasonable.

But the Bengali’s are always adventurous, risk takers (well, Yes ! I’ve met lots of people like this). So even the cold December evening, the dimmed daylight were not considered as constraints to us. Even I could remember, I was calling my team mates desperately to move on faster as some one of us had a bad ligament injury. So I already calculated the probable delayed time for this. But my people were super Cool. They were clicking photos around the bushes from different angles. Even some of them were found in scattered places, coming out of the usual trail. So after some times, I refrained myself from scolding others. Eventually, I also concentrated in unusual photography at that moment of rush. But we had to pay a huge cost for this unusual delays later on. Because finally we lost our ways in the darkness.

These photos were clicked at that special moments. Now even looking at them, I miss those evenings surrounded by lush darkness and Himalayan forest.

Have you ever found yourself in such conflict situation ! Because such things can make you experience a horrible night after all. Read my horrible night spent story in Srikhola. Share yours.
