I boarded the Saraighat Express on saturday afternoon & its scheduled time was 9:30 AM in the next morning. I assumed the weather will be charming & mild during the train journey. But as soon as I crossed the Maldah town, I faced the actual coolness of the atmosphere, it becomes dramatically soothing with dark clouds & soon it started raining. However as the evening already engulfed the face of the day, I preferred to shut down the windows .but rain water started to flow through the pores of wooden window ( the kindness of our Indian Railway) . the seats were already drenched with rain water & it was tolerable somehow until 10 PM , when already farakka Main junction crossed & finally I need to fix the windows with pile of sheets or papers. An instance of ‘Jugaad’ 😉
But the floor was already wet with waters coming from other windows. And soon it was a primary task to pickup own luggage on seats.
The night was passed with lots of naps & around 6:30 AM when I woke up I found the morning again with its moistures & the morning looked fresh, attired with new zeal. I just got a small moment to capture an outdoor photo.
After 17 or 18 hours of sitting in train ,finally around 10 AM , I arrived in Guwahati station where my cab was waiting to pick me up to Dispur.
