Pune, Bangalore and Hyderabad- Best friends meet up

Meeting up my boys in Pune- Three best friends met in Pune together finally.

We are three best friends, with a friendship stretching back to our childhood days. After months of being caught up in the daily grind of work and life, we finally found a weekend where all our schedules aligned. Eager for the chance to reconnect and relive our youth, we planned a getaway weekend full of nostalgia, laughter, music and fun.

After years of living in close proximity and meeting multiple times a week, my best friends and I found ourselves suddenly separated by geography when we each moved to different cities for work. While we used to spend nearly every evening together, catching up over dinner or drinks, now our meetups were limited to the rare occasion that our paths crossed. I was working in Bangalore, another friend had moved to Hyderabad, and the third was still in Pune where we had all lived previously.

The distance had reduced our thrice-weekly hangouts to an occasional phone call or text. Though we kept in touch online, it wasn’t the same as our easy companionship from before. I missed the comfort of seeing them regularly, the inside jokes and stories that never seemed to end. The effort to coordinate our schedules for even a quick visit meant that months would go by between reunions.

When I found out I would be traveling to Pune for work, I immediately texted my friends to see if we could plan an impromptu get-together. Though short notice, they were both excited by the chance to spend time together again. Over the weekend, we reminisced about old times, caught each other up on jobs and relationships, and promised not to let so much time pass before our next meeting. Though miles apart, our friendship remained strong, that same easy rapport emerging as if no time had passed. The long-overdue reunion was a reminder to cherish our closeness despite the distance.
