Manali is a beautiful hill station in the Himalayas and is a popular tourist destination. There are many places to visit in Manali, but these seven are the most beautiful.

Northern India is home to many popular travel destinations, such as Manali in Himachal Pradesh. Manali is especially popular with young people who enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and camping. Although some of these locations are often crowded with tourists, that does not mean you should avoid them. Such places to see in Manali should, in fact, be on your agenda if you’re coming for the first time. From my own personal experience, you must be willing to leave Manali for the second time even if you get a chance. I’m going to share some of the popular and unknown places which you definitely don’t want to miss.

Hidimba Devi temple:

In the year of 1553 Maharaja Bahadur Singh built this temple. Its also known as Hidimba Devi Temple and Dhungari Temple.Hidimba Devi is being worshiped in this temple, who was Bheem’s wife (From Mahabharat). The shrine’s wooden construction stands out among the many Hindu temples found around the country.
In the grounds, there is another temple dedicated to Hidimba Devi’s son Ghatotkacha.
The temple, which is surrounded by thick cedar woods and has snow-capped mountains as a background, is one of the greatest sites to visit in Manali.

Solang Valley:

Solang Valley is located around 8400 feet above sea level, only a short drive from Manali. It’s a mecca for adventure and sports enthusiasts, and you can test your talents on a pair of skis or go on a snowmobile excursion while you’re here. People come here to do zorbing and paragliding when the weather warms up. You may also take a cable car ride to see breathtaking vistas of the Himalayas. Winter is the greatest season to visit if you want to participate in snow-based activities and sports, while summer is excellent for other adventure sports.

The Manali Gompa:

The Gadhan Thekchhokling Gompa, also known as the Manali Gompa, is one of Manali’s most beautiful attractions, because to its intricate design and traditional Tibetan architecture. This monastery, which was built by Tibetan exiles in the 1960s, offers peaceful surroundings and unrivalled spiritual vibrations. Exquisite murals depicting major Buddhist events in vibrant hues, as well as roofs fashioned in the Pagoda style, are among the features of the Manali Gompa. The complex’s vendors are a great spot to pick up souvenirs and Tibetan handicrafts.

Bhrigu Lake:

Bhrigu Lake is a popular trekking destination in the Manali region.
Consider a serene high-altitude water body surrounded by an alpine meadow and evergreen tree woods. Bhrigu Lake is what you’ve just seen. Due to the lake’s height of about 4000 metres above sea level, the trek takes considerable acclimatisation. The Pir Panjal Ranges may be seen from here; the grandeur and panoramic views draw the bulk of visitors.

Beas river:

 

The Beas River is one of the many beautiful sights in Manali. It flows swiftly down the hill and hits large boulders on its way, making it a popular tourist destination. The adventurous river rafting offered by the River Beas is another big draw for tourists from all over India and abroad.

 

Jogini Waterfall:

Jogini Waterfall is located in the Valley of Manali, about 3 kilometers away from the town and around 2 kilometers away from Vashisht Temple. It is a popular tourist spot because visitors can trek to it from Vashisht Temple, through pine trees and orchards, to the mesmerizing Jogini Waterfalls cascading from a height of 160 feet. The trekkers are enchanted by the view of River Beas and snow-dusted peaks of Rohtang Mountains as they cross several smaller streams on their way to Jogini Falls.

To reach the Jogini Waterfall, it will take about three hours to climb up. Be sure to bring a camera so that you can capture the breathtaking beauty of the location. If you want to take a break, there are restaurants along the way serving snacks and hot cups of tea. The waterfall is considered one of Manali’s most romantic attractions, and is often crowded with couples. However, the area is also famous for its adventure activities and as a popular picnic spot among tourists. Just pack your essentials, put on your hiking gear and get going!

Gulaba:

 

Gulaba is a 4000 meter high mountain located in the Rohtang Pass area, which is known for its spectacular views of snow-capped mountains, the Beas River and small grasslands. It is an excellent alternative skiing destination when Rohtang Pass becomes inaccessible due to heavy snowfall in winter.

Gulaba, located in the Rohtang Pass region of Himachal Pradesh, is known for its skiing and paragliding opportunities. The area has numerous high peaks from which one can have a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. During late February or early March, when the Manali-Rohtang road opens to Gulaba, it becomes especially popular with tourists.
